Winters are approaching and our designers are busy preparing their collection for next fall/winter. We have not seen their collection yet but we can definitely say that this fall/winter is about to see a great amalgamation of belts, furs and capes in terms of fashion trends. Let’s take a quick look at some of them.
Yes, take out those college days` belts. Big belts in traditional colours are very much in this year. Highlight your waist with broad belts on those good fitting jeans. While we will not vote for those boxing type belts, but you can match your broader belts with anything. Opt for a creative colors or else you can stay with safe leather options.
We can safely say this is the year of capes. It seems like women have thrown away their jackets and coats. Lots of ready to wear collections and even ramps are filled with cozy capes. While for some this is definitely cumbersome but ladies capes are making a great fashion statement this winter.
When you will hear that oft-denounced sweatpants were the most searched fashion trend in Google, you will start taking athleisure seriously. Though very unfamiliar term, a combination of casual clothing and tailoring have given rise to this new chic design. Well Bollywood started this trend long back in 1990s with Shahrukh hopping in body hugging shirts with Polo Sport emblazoned on them and Karisma Kapoor dancing in tank-tops. A bunch of well-known designers and reputed fashion houses have vouched that this style truly has special room to grow. Expect more of this in the coming season. Well Bollywood started
Sorry PETA, but winters seem to be incomplete without fur. So, it goes without saying that this year`s runway will be incomplete without fur. Whether it is traditional or absolutely trendy, furs will add allure in collections this season. So start collecting those street style colorful fur coats, scarves and stoles for this winter.
We know they simply hate this but what all fashionistas have in common- pleats! Pleats are the safest style this season. Just add these to your skirts, shirts, short dresses and pants and you are all set to make a great fashion statement. Add little traces of metallics, silver and glitter and you will define new height of panache.
Continuing from Spring/Summer 2015, the patchwork design is also in trend this Fall/Winter. The dicing and slicing of fur, denim, knitwear and other kinds of motifs including snakeskin shows how different and unique patchwork can be.
So what’s your style? Pick up and go!
